This body of work maps intense physiological events. With the body as metaphor, the composition often involves a focal central point that acts as a density moving in either direction, towards the outside (macro) as well as the inside (micro). This attempt at plotting subjective experience in relation to scale is a way to visualize cultural and linguistic conflict as it affects a system on both molecular and macro socio-political levels. Through repetitive addition, subtraction and variation of the mark, I build a dynamic system that pushes forth emergent qualities which lose the thread to their starting point. The compositions take on the form of maps that enmesh language with topography and matter.
